Liquor Licence Controller Qualification

The Liquor Licence Controller Qualification course covers two Unit Standards – 4646 and 16705.

Unit Standard 4646 demonstrates knowledge of the Sale of Liquor Act 1989 and its implications for licensed premises. Unit Standard 16705 demonstrates the knowledge of host responsibility requirements as a duty manager of licensed premises.

A Liquor Licence Controller Qualification is a prerequisite for a liquor licence.

If you want to apply for, or renew a Managers Certificate (Liquor Licence), you must have achieved the Liquor Licence Controller Qualification.

This Food Safe training course is classroom-based and covers the Sale of Liquor Act and Host Responsibility. The course also includes a closed book examination. Trainees must be proficient in reading and writing in English.

The Liquor Licence Controller Qualification course is only available on request and is delivered for a minimum group of 6 trainees or more at client site.
